Conducted by Octafy, Fundação Unisul - the former maintainer of the University of Southern Santa Catarina (Unisul) - successfully completed the migration of its systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

The project, which began in 2021, was based on the Lift-and-Shift migration model, as significant changes to the IT environment were not allowed. To achieve this, an identical network infrastructure was created, preserving the IP addresses.

The process began with the migration of the Sênior and SAP systems. After stabilizing both, the migration of the Academic Management System was carried out, which includes services such as PeopleSoft Campus Solution, Academic Portal, and SOA, all from Oracle. Additionally, several Java-developed services were also allocated in the cloud.

The current infrastructure of Fundação Unisul includes an on-premise Hyper-V cluster, interconnected by a VPN Site-to-Site with OCI, hosting 33 instances and 10 databases.
